Excerpt from Samhain by Annie Finch
(The Celtic Halloween)
In the season leaves should love,
since it gives them leave to move
through the wind, towards the ground
they were watching while they hung,
legend says there is a seam
stitching darkness like a name……
Last year we had a weekend celebration of Samhain. This year, on Saturday October 28th from 11am - 1.30pm, we will gather for deep, quiet asana exploring this “seam, stitching darkness like a name”… This practice will be followed by a simple ritual honoring grief and letting be. There will be a recorded gentle healing evening practice to be done at any time that is convenient on Saturday evening. Sunday’s practice - 8am -10.30am - includes meditation, asana and reflection time inspired by our ancestors, those that have passed and our own transitions as we move into this magical, darker time of the year.
